While I of course always make sure to get the kids some fun things for Christmas, I also love giving the kids gifts that they can learn from. But giving things are fun AND educational - that's my favorite combination! If your kids enjoy building things or figuring out how things work, I found a great gift idea at CSN stores that I just love. It's the Elenco Snap Circuits Pro Board Game which kids can use to learn about electronics. It's recommended for ages 8 and up.
It comes with a board and over 75 Snap-Together parts to make over 500 projects. It has instructions for building things such as a radio, digital voice recorder, burglar alarm, doorbell and many more. The pieces easily snap together and it works with 4 AA batteries. Kids (and parents) can learn about meters, relays, transformers, diodes, get a better understanding of circuitry, and more. I love providing my kids ways to develop the confidence and satisfaction that comes with building things that really work.
Snap Circuits games have won tons of awards including: The National Parenting Center-Seal of Approval, Dr. Toy 100 Best Children's Products, Dr Toy Best Educational Products.
