Spending time with my family is something I do so much already! But rarely is that time spent relaxing and enjoying each other's company. Our days are filled of errands, school, work, sports and so many other things that make our family work. With the chaos of 3 kids (2 of which are under 4),I have found that we are constantly talking about a family vacation, but the talking we do always ends with us talking ourselves out of it for one reason or another. The kids are too little, they need too many things, who will watch the animals, and so on. And so I find myself chasing the ultimate vacation...
Lets talk travel. That is a very important part of any vacation. How are you going to get there? That is where we often stop planning a vacation. Plane? Are you kidding, hello 3 kids, luggage charges, etc.. No way would that be a part of my ultimate family vacation. Me, I pack the whole house when I leave for an afternoon. It is crazy, but I am sure some of you moms and dads can identify. But we are talking about the ultimate vacation so let's be creative. No need to pack the whole house, we can drive our own house. Well kinda cause I am getting to my ultimate vacation destination in my 33 motor home. Yep, we bought one and now we need somewhere to go-
Now that all my excuses are out of the way, I can get on with planning this vacation. We love our motor home, and we dabbled a bit in traveling in it in state. I can cook, shower, sleep, and have all the comforts of home for my family and I. But we have yet to go to far from home, or more than 2 or 3 nights in it. I would love for my parents-in-law to join along! Because my ultimate vacation may require a sitter ;) Were heading to the Oregon coast. We live reasonably close to the coast and my kids and I have never been over there. We are talking 8-9 hours away before we as a family can walk on the beach for the first time holding hands as the waves crash onto our feet! With so many other things to do on the coast for kids, I see us feeding the seals, followed up by shopping some lovely markets and buying as many souvenirs as we can find! After all this we be our ultimate family vacation so my in laws will be sitting for us from their hotel while my husband enjoy a date night together for the first time in 6 years.
Did I mention casino? Yep, we have them all along the way :) And we will be stopping for a little adult fun along the way. This is where the in laws come in again! They are awesome! We are a really simple family and our ultimate vacation would be just to spend it together with our comforts from home, making memories, and serving my sweet babies breakfast as my beautiful hard working husband drives us to our next destination.
I hope you enjoyed my post. I would love to hear your family's ultimate vacation.

Sounds like that would be a great trip! I have never been to Oregon but would love to visit someday.
I love your blog- I found it through another blog. I'm following you- don't know if you follow back, but I'd love it if you'd visit sometime.
My family happens to love Disney World- I have 4 little boys. If I could go there every Christmas- that would be amazing!!
