{Square Cat Habitat - “Itch” Wall Scratcher}

If you have cats, you've got to take a look at Square Cat Habitat. They've got a beautiful line of cat trees shelves, and scratching posts that have a very clean, modern look. Finally, cat furniture that is cool enough for the cat attitude! Lol.

My cat has always loved his scratching post -- one of those carpet covered ones with post sticking up from the base. However, I was never crazy about it since it always seemed to be in the way. I get really tired of stubbing my toe on it and telling the kids not to lean on it. It finally broke (yep, the kids) and I was glad that I hadn’t replaced it before I discovered the ones Square Cat Habitat has.

We tried the “Itch” wall scratcher. It is a very cool idea. It is a wooden frame of carpet with a square of carpet in it. The frame comes in black, white, or bamboo. The carpet square comes in tons of different colors and it Velcros in place. It is solidly attached, but can be changed out if necessary. It looks attractive on the wall and doesn‘t take up any floor space -- How cool is that! Square Cat Habitat says that “catnip can be placed behind or rubbed onto the inserts to further entice scratching.“ (I did spray it with catnip oil to get him interested.) My other cat prefers to scratch on the edge of the carpet so I may need to try the “Lo” floor scratcher next.

I didn't know there were so many ideas. We have four cats that are in and out of the house at various times, and I think they could benefit from these. I'll take a look.
