Carry-Her Combo - Doll Carrier Review

“Please, can I bring my doll? I promise I’ll carry her the whole time.” How many times have you heard that and then ended up carrying a doll for the majority of the time? Little girls who love dolls want to bring their doll everywhere. Moms who love little-girls-who-love-dolls end up carrying dolls everywhere. Roberta Wagner of Carry-Her has come up with the solution to this problem.

The “Carry-Her” is a fabric backpack-style carrier for 16” to 18” dolls (like the American Girls Doll’s size). It’s great because your child wears it with the doll in it like a backpack so it’s easy to carry, but unlike a regular backpack, it still lets you see the doll (ask any doll lover, this is important). I love how lightweight the carrier is, and it is very well constructed and seems to be very durable. It’s also adjustable.

You can get just the backpack or you can get the Carry-Her Combo, which includes the backpack carrier and a doll-sized backpack that is actually a carry pouch for the carrier. When your daughter isn’t using it, the Carry-Her folds down into the small doll-sized backpack for the doll to wear. Also, I found that it easily fits into my purse (and I carry a relatively small purse).
My daughter absolutely loves this carrier. She says it’s comfortable. She alternates between walking proudly while showing off her doll and seeming to forget that her doll is even on her back. I love that she can easily carry her own doll and has her hands free. Her only complaint is that she would like more color choices. I, on the other hand, love the color. It goes with anything and doesn’t show dirt.

My daughter also had a great idea for carrying her doll’s shoes. She has a pair of slip-on doll shoes that fall off fairly easily. She was worried about losing them while her doll was in the carrier. So she put the shoes into the doll-sized backpack, put that on her doll as a front carrier (so the shoes weren’t up against her back while she was carrying it) and then put her doll in the carrying backpack. Not only was she being responsible for her own doll, but for her doll’s accessories as well! I love it.

I absolutely love this doll carrier. This is one of those “wish I would have thought of it” ideas. It’s a great idea, is great quality, and makes it easy for your daughter to be responsible for her own doll. This one is definitely a “Smart and Trendy” Find!

I love that the doll carrier is lightweight and comfortable. I just traveled with my granddaughter and her American Girl doll Ivy. We had to fit the doll into a backpack because we didn't have enough hands to carry her through the airport. This carrier would have been perfect as Ivy could have rode on Katie Ann's back and experienced the airport!
