What's on your table for breakfast? We love General Mills!

In my home we eat tons of cereal. The kids love it as a dry snack and my husband and I love to have it for a late night snack. One of our household favorite brands is General Mills. My husband loves Trix and I love Cherrios. The kids always want to get those cereals that look great and are loaded with sugar and that is why i am so happy that General Mills announced they would be reducing sugars in their kid targeted cereals. This is awesome news for parents! And since we know that a good breakfast is part of a good start for kids we can rest easy that General Mills cereal will contain less sugar. Here is some great information I learned from their website.
Cereals are rich in important vitamins and minerals, yet lower in calories than many other common breakfast options.

Cereal eaters consume less fat, less cholesterol and more fiber than non-cereal eaters.

Ready-to-eat cereals also deliver important vitamins, minerals and nutrients, such as vitamins A, B6, iron, niacin and zinc, and cereal is a top source of key nutrients in children's diets.

Importantly, more frequent cereal eaters tend to have healthier body weights, and lower Body Mass Index measures (BMIs). It's true of men. It's true of women. It's true of kids. And that includes people who eat presweetened cereals.

Today's cereals are more nutritious than ever. Every General Mills Big G cereal contains at least 8 grams of whole grain per serving, and more than 20 General Mills cereals deliver 16 grams or more.

When you consider the benefits of cereal, you’ll see why ready-to-eat cereal is such a great breakfast choice.
